LOL…. Was that an awkward silence, or just limited animation?

Prior to “Star Trek”, Gene Roddenberry’s biggest gig was writing for “Have Gun – Will Travel”.

I am sad to report that the worst episodes of HGWT are generally the Roddenberry episodes, in that his handling of women is poor even by the standards of other writers.

If he’s not depicting them mouthy broads who need to learn to shut up so they can get a husband, they are silent passive creatures who exist for Paladin to partake of like free samples at the grocery store.

I’ll be watching an episode of HGWT and someone says the most sexist thing I ever heard, and I say to myself, “yep, Roddenberry episode”.

All of that said … as a rule I don’t buy the “man of his time” argument; slaveowners may have been men of their time, but they were also recognized as monsters by their contemporaries, so they don’t get a pass.

WACKY RACES: one of the most popular Hanna-Barbera cartoons in Japan (along with TOM & JERRY).

Its kind of funny how WACKY RACES (as CHIKKI CHIKKI MACHINE MOU RACE) got a theme song in Japan, but the American version just has the race announcer going over the line-up as the opening.

LOL… Before kids had consoles that could run Mario Kart, they had this.

The best part is Muttley’s laugh at the end.

And Mike Bloomberg’s inner circle thought “Make America Great Again” was an effective slogan. Voilà, the Bloomberg slogan: “Mike Will Get It Done.”

Mike Bloomberg, like Trump, has set up his campaign so his personal brand shines, win or lose.

Mike Bloomberg wants to replicate and build off what Trump’s campaign did best, without mimicking his style.

Maya Dominguez was one of 116 contestants who gathered in the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College in Harrison, NY.

Each competed in a private interview with seven judges and evening wear and activewear competitions over the course of the weekend.

The two days of rehearsals were a bit grueling for Maya Dominguez, but she made it through and made Yonkers proud.
